Park Bo Gum’s Military Story Goes Viral, Never Swears nor Use Vulgar Language?
Recently, an SNS post about Park Bo Gum has been making rounds around the internet. The post, which attached a video from a man, showed said man talking about an experience of Park Bo Gum while in the military.
In particular, the story started as a fellow trainee got into trouble for swearing at a drill instructor. In classic military fashion, the instructor snapped, saying, “You dare to disrespect your instructors, who received top-elite training and were specially selected?! You’re looking down on us? Fine, From now on, there will be no mercy for any of you. Anyone here have complaints??? Anyone feel wronged???”
The instructor also continued in anger, speaking, “There’s no need to feel wronged!!! Is there anyone here who’s gone through training up until now without ever swearing or using vulgar language even once???? No one, right!!!! If there is, raise your hand!!! I’ll excuse you from training!!!”
And that’s when Park Bo Gum our ever-polite, soft-spoken, angel-eyed king raised his hand. Despite the military pressure and harsh physical training, the actor never swore, cursed, nor used vulgar language, and the room reportedly went silent because no one could argued against this fact.
Seeing this, the drill instructor, clearly flustered, rushed over and whispered, “This is not the time for you to raise your hand.”
Additionally, it was mentioned that even when someone asked Park Bo Gum rude or intrusive questions, he would simply respond with a shockingly angelic answer, complete with his trademark eye-smile. It seems that Park Bo Gum’s “perfect” personality shines even in the military.
Upon learning about this story, fans are deeply impressed and leave comments such as, “Park Bo-gum was famous as an angel at the military training camp. I even heard a story about him giving up cola (!) to his fellow soldiers”, “We all wish we can marry Park Bo Gum”, and “Hearing this, I can’t help but like him more”.
In fact, this adheres with the actor’s words while still in the military, where he asked people to not neglect to train their body and mind and make efforts to improve intelligence by utilizing personal maintenance time given after work.
